Method

Use your dehydrator to create your own fiery jalapeno powder!

METHOD

  • Wash and dry the jalapenos then use a sharp knife to remove the stems
  • Slice the peppers lengthways into two. Scrape out the seeds and discard
  • Arange the peppers, sliced side up on your dehydrator trays ensuring that they do not touch
  • Allow the peppers to dehydrate for 24 hours at a temperature of 32 degrees C. The peppers are ready when they can be easily snapped in two
  • Transfer the dehydrated peppers to a blender and pulse until they form a powder. Store in mason jars or similar
