Great for grilling and roasting, baking and smoking the ceramic shell produces high temperatures for searing, roasting and grilling but also allows for low-temperature smoking. Constructed for a uniform heat circulation resulting in fast and consistent cooking. The top ventilation cap allows to control the air with precision and the thermometer on the lid monitors the temperature inside for precise cooking and perfect results. The ceramic surface doesn't get as hot as a metal grill and the fire itself is contained within a ceramic fire box inside the base. Easy to clean the ash can be easily removed via the sliding air inlet in the base.

Here are some tips to get the best out of your Kamado Joe Barbecue:1. Always cook with the lid closed- this creates higher temperatures and better heat retention.2. Never use petrol, white spirit, lighter fluid, alcohol or other similar chemicals for lighting or relighting.3. Do not use water to extinguish the charcoals.4. It is highly recommended that you use lump wood charcoal in your Kamado Joe BBQ – it burns for longer and produces less ash which can restrict the airflow.
