We are delighted to announce that we will once again be sponsoring National Chef of the Year with the live final due to take place at the Restaurant Show, Olympia London on the 2nd October 2018. The contest is one of the most anticipated events in the culinary calendar and has earned itself a reputation for discovering exceptional talent from chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Alyn Williams and Mark Sargeant, all of whom won first place and consequently saw their careers take a momentous step towards success and recognition.
The two-hour cook-off which is done under the watchful eye of a host of Michelin star and acclaimed judges including Tom Kerridge, Sat Bains, Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Claude Bosi as well as a live audience. This year the event will be hosted by guest interviewer, Anna Walker, who talks the audience through what’s happening on stage and will interview judges and previous winners.
Following a rigorous process of paper judging and regional heats held in Sheffield and London for 40 semi-finalists the eventual 10 finalists were selected.
