On Thursday 5th July, Connaught Village took us on a walk through time with food and drink, live music and street entertainment spanning the last 150 years to the current day where we all enjoyed a fabulous street party celebration
Culinary Delights From Toolshed @ W2
We thought the street party was the perfect opportunity to also celebrate the launch of Toolshed @ W2, our retail experience and training kitchen based in London and boy were we right!
Throughout the event, our team were busy cooking up a real treat for guests, hosting a number of demonstrations as well as BBQ sampling.
Incase you weren’t able to make it to London on the day here’s a little recap:
We proudly finished off sous vide cooked lamb shoulder and Korean chicken skewers on our BBQ; culinary delights which were a real hit.
In fact, many guests commented how they “could not believe how tender meat can be when cooked sous vide.”
Our chefs, Chris and Josh, were on site to demonstrate a number of different cooking techniques; Aside from sous vide and BBQ, we also had a lot of interest in the dehydrated foods that were offered as samples.
It’s an exciting time to be a foodie and there’s so many fantastic techniques which many are yet to try.
We’re on a mission to change that.
One lucky winner, Dawn Lambright, was given the opportunity to attend our ‘social sharing plates’ class at Toolshed @ W2, an exciting event intended to demonstrate how modern cooking techniques can be applied to create simple yet delicious tapas style dishes to create a relaxed dining atmosphere where sharing and socialising is at the heart.
Our brand new in-store demo BBQ, from the popular Kamado Joe range, was the star of the show.
We’ve only had the range in stock a couple of weeks but they’re quickly becoming a real hit with customers. If you’ve yet to see one yourself; why not pop in and we’ll be happy to show you.
